DeepTap Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
DeepTap ("DeepTap", "the extension", or "we") respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we process information when you use the DeepTap browser extension, website, account, and related services. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not install or use DeepTap.
1. Information We Collect
DeepTap is a browser extension that provides vocabulary highlighting, selected-text translation, word explanations, pronunciation, and learning records while you read web pages. To provide these features, we may process the following information: 1. Your learning settings, such as native language, learning language, learning level, interface language, theme, and highlight style. 2. Learning data you create, such as saved words, mastered words, ignored words, and site rules. 3. Web page text that you select or ask us to analyze, together with necessary local context. 4. If you sign in, your user ID, email address, display name, avatar, plan benefits, and login status. 5. Information needed to keep the extension working, such as extension version, browser type, request status, cache status, and error information. DeepTap does not collect your browsing history for advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to: 1. Analyze web page text and generate vocabulary learning suggestions. 2. Provide selected-text translation, word explanations, example sentences, and pronunciation. 3. Save your learning progress, word status, and extension settings. 4. Maintain account login, plan benefits, and service security. 5. Improve extension stability and troubleshoot issues.
3. AI Features
When you use web page analysis, word explanation, or selected-text translation, DeepTap may send the necessary text, local context, language settings, and learning level to DeepTap servers for processing. DeepTap servers may use third-party AI service providers to generate translations, explanations, or learning suggestions. Please do not submit passwords, payment information, government ID numbers, medical records, trade secrets, or other sensitive content to AI features.
4. Data Storage
Some data is stored locally in your browser, such as login status, learning vocabulary, site rules, preferences, and cache. Some small settings may be synchronized across your devices through browser sync, such as language settings, theme, shortcuts, and highlight style. Browser sync is provided by browser vendors such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox and is subject to their privacy policies. If you sign in, DeepTap servers may store account information, plan benefits, session information, and data required to provide cloud features.
5. Browser Extension Permissions
DeepTap needs access to web page content to identify text on pages, show learning highlights, respond to selected-text translation, and provide language learning features. Safari may warn that the extension can read or modify sensitive information on websites. This is a general browser permission notice for page access. It does not mean DeepTap actively collects credit card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information. DeepTap processes web page text only as necessary to provide language learning features.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or use web page content for third-party advertising. We share necessary information only in the following cases: 1. To use AI, cloud, identity, or infrastructure service providers that help provide DeepTap features. 2. To comply with law, court orders, or lawful government requests. 3. To protect the safety and legal rights of users, DeepTap, or the public.
7. Data Deletion
You can delete local cache, vocabulary data, and site rules in the extension settings. You can also sign out or uninstall the extension. To request deletion of your account or server-side data, contact us: Email: lizaiya278@gmail.com Website: https://www.deeptap.top
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy due to product changes, legal requirements, or app store rules. When we update it, we will change the last updated date at the top of this page.
